Inspiration
This sketch was one of my least favorite, simply because of how I decided to combine all the things together because you only have so much space to fit in one dry point sketch on the plastic. I did trees because its nature that we live all around us and if nature stops growing around us we would not be alive. The patches on the skull did not seem to showcase the concept correctly that I wanted in my piece. This if when I decided to add more details into my final piece because it look really well so I added little by little and see if it fitted in that image and see if it outstanding in the image to see if its in the correct space to put in. Most of the inspiration was on Vincent Van Gogh the forest of the trees because when were outside all you see is nature all over and I have notice in researching that if nature wasn't all alive we would not basically be living on this earth. It had really inspired me and brought my mind into it.They is my favorite project so far because i have learned so much things into art class in jr art class. As a student I have learned new things everyday
This was my first sketch I did, with Vincent Van Gogh looking at it overall the meaning of the picture representing how the city of town is art in the painting piece, but the road did not seem to match with the art piece I have made and showed there concept with it correctly. This is when I decided to add Vincent Van Gogh details because it shows us tree and grass growing and a parking. |
This sketch was one of my favorite one because I added more details to my art piece and i added the parking lot toward the back of the art piece. |
Planning:
This sketch was one of my least favorite, simply because of how I decided to combine all the things together because you only have so much space to fit in one dry point sketch on the plastic. I did trees because its nature that we live all around us and if nature stops growing around us we would not be alive. The patches on the skull did not seem to showcase the concept correctly that I wanted in my piece. This if when I decided to add more details into my final piece because it look really well so I added little by little and see if it fitted in that image and see if it outstanding in the image to see if its in the correct space to put in.
Process:
During the process of making my digital collage I started to think what I could draw that describes what the picture is about because there has to be a meaning to the picture behind it. When deciding on my final sketches I have chosen. The first I would do is the trees in the front and have those shaded with ink. When working on the background, I had difficulties getting the lines straight kinda and not to mess up because once you mess up on it your hole thing is basically all messed up. or perfectly curved. For this I tried different methods of holding the tool, but then I did end up getting a ruler.
This is the final piece your dry point should look like by wiping off the ink with a white piece of paper. |
Place the white piece of paper that was that was wet and dry with the towel and now put it on the roller make sure to pick up the rugs and place the wet piece of paper under the rugs and place your dry point and make sure the side with the ink is facing down and not up that way it can make the print on the paper.Finish Product |
Experimental:
After scratching over all over the plastic, I wanted to see in my point of view were I would of add more shade in more area and some lighter areas and hoe the inking process would be. In the artist Vincent van Gogh. I wanted to include to include the same detail of ink, in order to do it I would not mind if the objects were very small in the final printing process that I am in. I did see that in my process, the printing cam out darker in some areas than other spots. The main spots didn't have the best details because that was to inspire the picture . This happened because I didn't not remove all the paint that was the dry point plastic. In the second print while I was doing the process I removed more ink than the first print. Nut I wanted some area darker than other spot and some areas lighter and blend it kinda and make it inspiring.
Reflection:
Over all I am happy with the final work that I have finished in my art piece. The one thing that struggled was to ink at the final step of the process. There was a lot of struggling, because if you didn't have an apron on and no gloves you can stein your clothes and also how much ink to put in some area because some areas could be dark shadows and some area may be lighter shadow areas. After a couple of tries I was able to find my final process of where to put more ink and know where to put more ink and the areas that needed to be added with ink. I do think that I could of added more details toward the back of the art piece and more shading. I dont think that the shading that I have done want the greatest but. And if I had some or on my free time is I have time i would redo the process of making the dry point and add more details of added more shade toward the back into the painting that I thing that needed more shading to the end. After all my researching was all complete I was able to look into my art piece and tell what the pain pie of my art was in the dry point.
